Our Educators are Different

The Uniform Bar Exam requires candidates to master over twenty subjects and to convey that mastery through essay writing and multiple-choice testing formats. Essay questions often involve numerous, overlapping subject matters, and may involve contracts, partnerships, jurisdiction and arbitration.

Our lecturers are real experts in these intricacies with over 40 years of education, preparation, and experience.

John G. Pieper
For almost forty-five years, J. Gardiner Pieper, J.D. (St. John’s Law), LL.M. (NYU Law), has established himself as the Bar Exam Expert. He knows what the Bar Examiners require to successfully pass the Bar Exam, and has been lecturing students on all aspects of the New York Bar Exam since 1972. John Pieper currently serves as an adjunct law professor at Brooklyn, Cardozo, the City University of New York, Fordham, New York Law School, and Touro Law Center. He also serves as a practicing attorney and as a New York State Magistrate. For eight years, he was a visiting lecturer on New York’s CPLR at Suffolk University Law School and New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, for law students from Suffolk, New England, Boston College, Boston University, and Harvard Law Schools.
Mr. Pieper has passed successfully the bar exam and been admitted in over thirty jurisdictions.

Troy G. Pieper
After departing the New York City office of Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft L.L.P., where he practiced business and securities litigation, Troy Pieper joined his father at Pieper Bar Review. Troy lectures in the Pieper Full Bar Review Course and is the sole instructor for the Pieper Concentrated Weekend Program.
Troy has served as an adjunct law professor and bar exam consultant at Brooklyn, Cardozo, CUNY, Hofstra, Fordham, New York Law School, and Touro Law Center. He tutors individual students on all aspects of the Uniform Bar Exam and has successfully passed the bar exam and gained admission to the bar in Alaska, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, and New York.

Damian J. Pieper
In the fall of 2007, Damian J. Pieper, J.D. (St. John’s Law) left the New York offices of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. (now Norton Rose Fulbright), where he was a Senior Associate in the litigation department, to join Pieper Bar Review. Damian passed the New York Bar Exam in 2001, and currently lectures on Sales, Contracts, Federal Jurisdiction, Constitutional Law, and Evidence.
Damian coordinates Pieper Bar Review’s Tutoring Program, tutors individual students on all aspects of the Uniform Bar Exam, works with Pieper’s staff attorneys to respond to student questions about the material covered in the course, and implements Pieper’s online iPass program. He is admitted to practice in New York and Maine, and his admission is pending in Alaska where he recently passed the UBE. Damian also serves as an adjunct law professor at Brooklyn, Cardozo, CUNY, Fordham, New York Law School, and Touro Law Center.
