Retaking the exam is, for many people, more difficult than taking the exam the first time. You’ll confront mental fatigue and doubt that you never experienced in your first attempt, and more problematically, you may find yourself with less time to prepare for the exam.
If your work and personal responsibilities prevent you from devoting the time required to participate in another Full Bar Review Course, you still don’t have to study alone. In Pieper’s Concentrated Review (recommended for working students with a prior UBE score of 250 and above), you’ll get the guidance and structure you need to solidify your knowledge of the law, plus have our team of Pieper attorneys available to provide valuable feedback on your written assignments and answer your substantive questions.
The Pieper Concentrated Review includes the following features to assist you toward success on the bar exam:
Flexible Study Schedule: Start when you are ready, and work at your pace and on your terms. Spend less time in class and more time memorizing the law and practicing.
Concentrated Substantive & Skills-Based Lectures: 50 hours of on-demand lectures to succinctly review and cover the UBE subjects while simultaneously working with actual MBE, MEE, and MPT questions to hone essential skills.
Flexibility to join us for live lectures on Zoom, or catch-up on lectures on-demand whenever you’re ready to view, or re-view the material.
Access to Pieper’s Multiple Choice Lift, which includes over 1,900 MBE questions and answers, among them every question released by the bar examiners over the past 25 years.
More Feedback: Weekly, personal feedback on MEEs and MPTs.
So, how does the Pieper Concentrated Review work? Before starting with the first lecture (Contracts and UCC-2) you’ll want to really dig into the material so that you’re familiar with everything, from basic definitions to exceptions to the exceptions. We'd recommend eight to ten hours or more for any of the MBE subjects, and three to four hours with MEE-specific subjects that tend to be more manageable in scope. You won't remember everything from this initial review, but this is a key step in laying a foundation with material that you will revisit multiple times before the exam itself.
After your initial review, you'll complete specific assigned MBE questions, along with an MEE in Contracts and UCC-2.
Then in class, we'll break down the material, the MBE and MEE assignments, and additional ways that the concepts are tested. You’ll also learn tips on how to approach and conquer Contracts and UCC-2 MBE questions (so that, e.g., you’ll be more likely to pick the correct answer once you’ve narrowed your choices to two).
Finally, after digesting what you've learned in class, you’ll submit a separate Contracts and UCC-2 essay for personalized substantive and organizational feedback, and move on to repeat the process for Decedents' Estates, which we cover in Lecture 2.
This course is the ideal solution for anyone that can't find the time in their busy schedule to complete a full bar review course and would otherwise be forced to study on their own. Ideally, each course lecture will serve as recap, reassuring you that you adequately prepared to sit for the exam (at least within the substantive areas covered that class). Perhaps more importantly, however, the lectures will serve as a safety net; you’ll likely find that there are concepts that you thought you understood before, while in reality, you were missing parts of the big picture. In this way, the Concentrated Review will solidify and build upon your knowledge of the law so that you reinforce your understanding of key details, fill in gaps in your knowledge, and avoid recycling any misconceptions.
The live lectures wrap up on June 29, which provides a good buffer for anyone that might have to start studying later. Plus, we'll provide you with assignments and support right through the day of the bar exam. Remember, Pieper People Pass!

Pieper Bar Review teaches students the legal concepts and exam skills necessary for success on the bar exam, and reinforces students’ knowledge through thought-provoking examples and bar exam questions. Pieper’s courses do more than teach the material to students. They enable students to master concepts as they are tested so that students can excel within the time constraints of the exam.
