AN ALLY IN YOUR CORNER EACH STEP OF THE WAY

Only the most experienced bar exam experts may serve as Pieper Tutors. With a minimum of 10 years to over two decades of experience preparing candidates for the bar exam, Pieper Tutors know every facet of the bar exam and how best to prepare you through your unique circumstances. Damian and Troy Pieper head the Pieper Advanced Tutoring program, and they personally oversee the work of all Pieper Tutors. Damian and Troy, who also work as private tutors within the program, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOURSELF, MAXIMIZE YOUR EFFICIENCY, AND BE ACCOUNTABLE

Whether you’re concerned with one area of the exam or many, the right private tutor can get you on track and keep you there as you prepare for the exam. A private tutor will get to know your strengths and weaknesses, help you to study more efficiently, and motivate you to perform even when you don’t think you know or have studied enough to practice.

A Pieper Tutor will tailor your study schedule, monitor your progress, assign and critique additional work, and evaluate your performance throughout the bar review course and right through the exam. If you’ve ever worked with a trainer at the gym to help get you into shape, you’ll remember the days when you didn’t want to get out of bed, but knowing that you’d committed to a trainer and yourself, you pushed yourself to perform. The same personal accountability with your own Pieper Tutor will ensure that you put yourself in the best position to pass the exam.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Pieper Tutors meet with students over Zoom in two-hour segments. During these meetings, the private tutors address any substantive law issues you have, test your knowledge of critical concepts, and work with and critique your performance on actual released MBE, MEE, and MPT questions. Your Pieper Tutor will suggest and assign additional work targeted to your schedule and needs for completion in advance of the next meeting.

WHAT DOES PRIVATE TUTORING COST?

Approximately 75% of the students in Pieper’s Advanced Tutoring program sign up for twenty hours of one-on-one tutoring from the start of bar review right up to the exam for $6,000 ($300 per hour), while others elect to meet on fewer occasions, in two-hour blocks for $325 per hour depending on their needs and schedules. If you’re not sure if or how much private tutoring is for you, try a single session early on so that you can determine for yourself – you can always add time later, but make sure you do before the last few weeks so you have time to get the benefit of building on the tutor’s advice. Working with a Pieper Tutor is an investment in your future that will ensure you are getting the most out of your valuable study time and instill in you the confidence you need to pass the exam.
